Meet the Staff
Rev. Terron Tuckett
Senior Minister
Pastor Terron began as pastor in December 2020. He holds three academic degrees in theology, including degrees from Andover Newton Theological School and Boston University. Depsite a robust theological training, his faith is primarily informed by everyday life. When teaching, he seeks to make the truth of God easily understood, and when leading, he strives to equip and empower others. Don’t let his cheerful, easy-going demeanor mislead you, Pastor Terron is passionate about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
As the pastor, he envisions the church as place where people experience deliverance from addiction, hunger, brokenness, isolation, despair, and most importantly, sinfulness. Further, he envisions the church as a neighborhood organization that contributes to the well-being of Melrose. Accordingly, he is always looking for innovative ways for the church to serve the community. Under his leadership, the church lawn has become a place of outdoor games, picnic tables, Easter Egg Hunt, the Little Free Pantry, summer movies, community events, vigils, and outdoor services. Such usage reflects a desire for the church to develop further as a community partner who is known for its love of God and love of neighbor.
Pastor Terron enthusastically supports the music ministry and knows it runs best when Rev. Miranda Kwon, the church’s associate pastor, makes the decisions.
Pastor Terron enthusastically supports the church’s Pantry of Hope and knows it runs best when Pam Ross, the Pantry’s director, makes the decisons.
On the personal side, Pastor Terron has been married to his wife Stefani for over 29 years, and they have three fabulous children. Much to his wife’s dismay, he is a year-round bike commuter, which also makes him a year-round bike mechanic.
Pam Ross
Church Administrator
Pam is a lifelong contributor to First Baptist Church of Melrose. In fact, she was both dedicated as an infant and then baptized as a preteen at the church. Pam is the “Make It Happen” person at the church. If you have questions, she has the answers. In addition to her many skills, the church holds the unverified belief that Pam is the most talented player of hand bells in New England. She also serves as the church treasurer and serves as the Director of our church’s Pantry of Hope. When not working at the church, you will find Pam roaming the hiking trails of the Greater Merrimack Valley.
