Rev. Terron Tuckett
Senior Minister
Pastor Terron began as pastor in December 2020. He holds three academic degrees in theology, including degrees from Andover Newton Theological School and Boston University. Depsite a robust theological training, his faith is primarily informed by everyday life. When teaching, he seeks to make the truth of God easily understood, and when leading, he strives to equip and empower others. Don’t let his cheerful, easy-going demeanor mislead you, Pastor Terron is passionate about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
As the pastor, he envisions the church as place where people experience deliverance from addiction, hunger, brokenness, isolation, despair, and most importantly, sinfulness. Further, he envisions the church as a neighborhood organization that contributes to the well-being of Melrose. Accordingly, he is always looking for innovative ways for the church to serve the community. Under his leadership, the church lawn has become a place of outdoor games, picnic tables, Easter Egg Hunt, the Little Free Pantry, summer movies, community events, vigils, and outdoor services. Such usage reflects a desire for the church to develop further as a community partner who is known for its love of God and love of neighbor.
Pastor Terron enthusastically supports the music ministry and knows it runs best when Rev. Miranda Kwon, the church’s associate pastor, makes the decisions.

On the personal side, Pastor Terron has been married to his wife Stefani for over 29 years, and they have three fabulous children. Much to his wife’s dismay, he is a year-round bike commuter, which also makes him a year-round bike mechanic.
Rev. Miranda Kwon
Associate Pastor
Pastor Miranda was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in a non-Christian family with a Buddhist mother and an atheist father. Nevertheless, influenced by her music-loving parents, she started playing the piano at the age of 4 and violin at 10 and studied at New England Conservatory of Music (B.M.) and Hartt School, Univ. of Hartford (M.M.). She then went on to study Computer Science (B.S., Conn. State Univ.) and worked as a programmer at a global company in CT.
But the Lord God had a different plan for her. After becoming a Christian by the grace of God, she went back to her mother country South Korea and served at an international church in Seoul for seven years, ministering to people in such ministries as the orphanage ministry, justice ministry, homeless ministry, and women’s care ministry, besides serving as a full-time staff at the church. She also had opportunities to go on several short-term mission trips to such countries as the Philippines, Thailand, Burma, Cambodia, Oman, and UAE. Then, encouraged by her pastors, she went on to study at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (South Hamilton, MA) and got her M.Div. in 2020 and Th.M. in the NT in 2023. While she was studying at Gordon-Conwell, she served at Park Street Church in Boston in the College Ministry and volunteered at Emmanuel Gospel Center in women’s justice ministries (against human/sex trafficking) and also at women’s prison in Essex County. She joined FBC Melrose in Jan. 2021 and was ordained in Jan. 2023 through the American Baptist Churches, USA at FBC Melrose. Besides her pastoral role at FBC Melrose, she serves as the Director of Missions at the American Baptist Churches of MA (TABCOM) and as a chaplain in the US Army in the Reserves.
She is married to Woei Wang, her loving and supportive husband.
Pam Ross
Church Administrator
Pam is a lifelong contributor to First Baptist Church of Melrose. In fact, she was both dedicated as an infant and then baptized as a preteen at the church. Pam is the “Make It Happen” person at the church. If you have questions, she has the answers. In addition to her many skills, the church holds the unverified belief that Pam is the most talented player of hand bells in New England. She also serves as the church treasurer and serves as the Director of our church’s Pantry of Hope. When not working at the church, you will find Pam roaming the hiking trails of the Greater Merrimack Valley.
